Speed

Athletes typically don’t train for speed. However, speed is the variable that separates all levels of athletic competition. Over the course of training, the athlete will become quicker and faster.

Quickness

That quick first step turns an ordinary player into an extraordinary player. We’ll teach the athlete how to position their ankles, knees and hips in order to maximize the application of force. Resulting in quicker acceleration and development of an explosive first step.

Power / Explosiveness

Power is the ability of an athlete to apply force rapidly. The quicker this force is applied to the ground, an opponent or ball the more explosive the athlete. Through a series of plyometric activities for upper & lower body increased explosiveness will result.

Agility

Lastly, agility will be addressed. Through a series of dynamic balance and stability drills, the athlete will be trained to react and change direction quickly.

Sports Specific Training - Soccer I just wanted to thank you for working with Mark to keep him in shape and teach him how to work out without injury. To learn how to strengthen and stretch, with your guidance, gave him the overall good health to compete this year. As a Freshman, he helped the South Side Boys Varsity Soccer team regain the County Championship Title, and was awarded All County Honorable Mention, by The Nassau County Coaches Association. He just recently came back from Italy with US Soccer’s, Olympic Development Program’s, Region I 1995 team, where they competed in an international youth tournament placing 8th overall from a field of 39 teams. Thanks again for all of your ongoing concern and interest in Mark’s well being!

Brittany’s successful ski season was, in part due to the Sports Specific Training program with Paul and Chris at Peak Performance. To be a competitive freestyle athlete she must have a dry land program to build explosive power, strength and core control required for her freestyle skiing. At Peak her program is personalized and yield the results needed to be a strong competitor on the snow.
